Vetrimaaran is now one of the highly acclaimed directors in Indian cinema. We all know that the National Award-winning filmmaker tried to work with Thalapathy Vijay in the past. Now, he has decided to pitch an idea to the star actor again.
Vetrimaaran is working on Soori and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Viduthalai', based on a short story by Jeyamohan. He will start shooting for Suriya's 'Vaadivasal', which is also an adaptation of the novel with the same name. Earlier, the director narrated a story to Vijay but the project didn't take off and the actor had confirmed that he will wait for Vetri’s next project.
In a recent interview, Vetrimaaran revealed that he is thinking about pitching a story to Thalapathy again after completing the much-awaited Vaadivasal. Fans are excited and rooting for this project to materialise as it would be a nationwide sensation for the superstar to unite with the maverick director.
On the work front, Vijay is currently shooting for 'Thalapathy 66' directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The movie with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead is touted to be an emotional family drama. Vijay will be teaming up with Lokesh Kanagaraj again for 'Thalapathy 67', reported to be the first gangster film in the actor's career.
