Director Shankar gets honoured with a doctorate degree – Viral pics

Shankar is an iconic director who brought many innovations to Tamil and Indian cinema through his films. The maker will resume his blockbuster movie sequel ‘Indian 2’ in September starring Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth.

Meanwhile, the latest hot news is that director Shankar has been presented with an honorary doctorate from Vels Vistas institute recently. Shankar collected his honorary doctorate this morning (August 5) at the 12th Annual Convocation ceremony held at the VELS University campus in Pallavaram. The pictures from the event are currently going viral.

It is worth mentioning that former Indian and CSK cricketer Suresh Raina was awarded an honorary doctorate from Vels University today, as well. On the work front, Shankar recently wrapped up a major schedule of his ongoing film ‘RC15’ and he will continue ‘RC15’ after the completion of ‘Indian 2’.
