Director Mysskin who has carved a niche for himself as a rebellious filmmaker in Tamil cinema having stamped his authority in his work is gearing up for the release of his ‘Pcyho’ on January 24th. The film stars Udayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nithya Menen and Ram in the cast and the trailer has shocked audiences due to its depiction of violence and gore.
We caught up with Mysskin for an exclusive interview in which he has stated many facts about the film and his own take on films and filmmaking. Many social media users are speculating that ‘Pscyho’ is the copy of ‘Ratsasan’ directed by Ravikumar starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul. When posed the question to Mysskin he gave us a straightforward answer in his signature style.
Mysskin has revealed that Udayanidhi Stalin suggested that he watch ‘Ratsasan’ just to make sure that there are no similarities but he refused and did not watch it at all due to his confidence that his work will stand out. He has also shared that Uday after watching ‘Pscyho’ assured him that there is not even a single shot resembling the 2018 film.
