Dhanush lauds Anirudh on “Kolaveri di” anniversary

The “Why this kolaveri di’ song in ‘3’ starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan and directed by Aishwarya R Rajinikanth became a global chartbuster and phenomenon that few Indian songs have received in a century.  The man behind the number Anirudh made his debut with the song and the film and the rest as they say is history.

Today marks the sixth anniversary of the song and Dhanush has reached out to Anirudh on social media stating “6 years of kolaveri di. Which marks 6 years of Anirudh as well. Congratulations ani. Much more to come. ( still don’t understand why the song is what it is ) but super glad the song happened to us. Thank you all once again for it.”

Anirudh’s prompt reply to his mentor is “Been a wonderful journey bro. Thank you for believing in me more than myself”
