Dhanush has back-to-back theatrical releases this year with 'Thiruchitrambalam' and 'Naane Varuvean'. While the former became a blockbuster, the latter managed to be a profitable hit venture amid the PS1 storm. Meanwhile, Dhanush's bilingual venture 'Vaathi' was announced to be his third release this year.
As per the latest reports, the makers of the film have decided to push the release to a bigger date. Sources tell us that the team is aiming for a grand theatrical release for 'Vaathi' on January 26, the Republic day. However, there is no official notification to confirm this buzz and the reason for the delay is unknown as well. Director Venky Atluri is helming 'Vaathi', which also stars Samyuktha Menon.
Samuthirakani, Naren and Motta Rajendran play pivotal roles in 'Vaathi'. The film is touted to be an action entertainer and the story revolves around a teacher who tries to break the barriers in our current education system. GV Prakash is composing music for the movie jointly produced by Sithara Entertainment, Srikara Productions and Fortune Four Cinemas.
