Actor Jayam Ravi had acted in the movie Adanga Maru in 2018, and the movie which had him playing a police officer, paired with Raashi Khanna was directed by debutant director Karthik Thangavel. The movie had received good response and was commercially successful.

It was said that after the success of Adangamaru, Karthik Thangavel might be directing a movie for Prince Pictures which has produced movies like Dev, Mohini and Singam 2 and that this movie might have Karthi as the hero. It was also said before few weeks that Karthik has narrated a story for Vijay.

Now the latest news making the rounds is that Karthik Thangavel has reportedly narrated a story to Sathyajyothi films production house and that the movie might take off with Dhanush playing the lead. An official clarification on this speculation is expected soon.
