Actor Dhanush's 'VIP 2' is scheduled to release this Friday (August 11) and the advance bookings have started from today. However only the Tamil version of the film will be releasing this week.

'VIP 2' directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth has been made as a Tamil-Telugu-Hindi trilingual. Earlier it was expected that all the three versions will release on the same day. The Telugu and Hindi versions will be released a week later that is on August 18, 2017.

The brand VIP is very popular among Telugu audience as 'Velai Illa Pattadhari' was a huge hit in Telugu as well. Hence the sequel is expected take a very good opening in Telugu speaking states.

As far as Hindi is concerned the film stars Bollywood's evergreen dream girl Kajol in an important role and the film has been titled as 'VIP Lalkar'. Hence this film is expected to take a huge opening in Hindi as well.

The sequel retains the star cast of the first part that includes Amala Paul. Samuthirakani. Vivek, Hrishikesh and others. The new inclusions are Kajol. Monal Gajjar. 'Big Boss' Raiza and many others. Music is by Sean Roldan instead of Anirudh. Dhanush has written the story and dialogues apart from acting in lead role.

The film has been produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu under his V Creations banner. It has acquired a clean U certificate.
