Dhanush the much celebrated multifaceted actor of Kollywood has made it a habit to bring pride to Tamil cinema with every movie he makes. After winning the national award for best actor for 'Asuran' he went on to star in the Hollywood multistarrer 'The Gray Man' directed by the Russo Brothers.

A few years back an elderly couple R Kathiresan and K Meenakshi, from Melur claimed that they were the biological parents of Dhanush and filed a paternity case in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. Dhanush denied the claim and asserted that he was indeed the youngest son of Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi and provided document proof for the same. The case went on for a few years and in 2017 the case was dismissed in favor of Dhanush as there were not enough evidence for the couple's claim who also demande a maintainence amount of rupees sixty five thousand.

Kathiresan and Meenakshi once again moved the court three weeks back challenging the order of the judge. They claimed that Dhanush submitted fake documents during the paternity test and maintain that he is their son who left home when he was in teen and ended up being fostered by director Kasthuriraja and his family.

Dhanush and Kasthuriraja's counsel sent legal notice to the couple warning them of dire consequences for their false claims. A part of the notice reads "My clients hereby call upon you both to desist from making false, untenable and defamatory allegations against them henceforth. Failing compliance my clients will be constrained to approach the competent Courts to protect their rights in this regard and to prevent you from carrying on and making such false, untenable and defamatory allegations against them and you both will also be prosecuted for causing defamation and consequent loss of their reputation,”

Dhanush's next release is 'Thiruchitrambalam' produced by Sun Pictures with three leading ladies Priya Bhavani Shankar, Raashi Khanna and Nithya Menen. His upcoming movies are 'The Gray Man' (July 15th), 'Naane Varuven' and the multilingual 'Vaathi/Sir'.
