The official updates on the COVID 19 pandemic in Tamil Nadu today has recorded the highest increase in new patients numbering a shocking 1927. No prices for guessing that Chennai is the chief contributor housing a staggering 1392 of them. The state now has reached 36,841 cases and the capital city crossing the 25k mark with 25,937. The death toll has shot up to 326 after 19 people lost their lives in the past twenty-four hours.

On the positive side 1008 patients were discharged today rising up the total number of recoveries to 19,333. For more than a month now a few districts including Tiruppur and The Nilgiris have maintained their status of zero patient count for COVID 19.

16,667 persons have been tested today taking up the tally to 6,09,856 individuals tested so far. 17,675 samples were tested today out of which 642 samples are under process. 1933 children under the age of 12 affected so far which is a worrying number for sure.
