Court’s order on man alleging to be Jaya’s son

A petition was earlier filed in the Madras High Court by a man who claimed himself to be the biological son of late CM J Jayalalithaa.

J Krishnamoorthy, in his petition, alleged that he was born to former AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa and late Telugu film actor Shoban Babu. He backed his allegations by submitting a deed of adoption signed by late MG Ramachandran. The Court, which ridiculed the claims, ordered the police to verify the credibility of the documents submitted by the petitioner.

The Crime Branch, on investigation, found that the documents were hoax. Justice R Mahadevan has ordered the police to 'secure the petitioner and take action in accordance with the law' and report to the Court on April 10.
