In a shocking news, DMK prominent member, MLA J Anbazhagan, who is also the party’s district secretary for West Chennai has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus. He had been admitted to a private hospital after complaining of respiratory issues.
As said by a DMK insider, Anbazhagan was on ventilator since morning. The politician was actively participating in DMK President MK Stalin’s ‘Ondrinaivoom Va’ initiative and was distributing relief materials till last weekend to people affected by the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Before many years, Anbazhagan had undergone a liver transplant in London.
DMK organizing secretary RS Bharathi has also confirmed his hospitalisation and said that they’re not sure of the cause of illness and was hospitalized immediately after reporting of discomfort last evening. He was hospitalized immediately.
