Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has shared that he worked tirelessly for the past two years on the film “Coolie”. Following the completion of his work on the film “Vettaiyan” featuring Rajinikanth, the shooting for “Coolie” also recently wrapped up. After directing “Leo”, Lokesh has taken on “Coolie”, which stars Rajinikanth once again, along with actors Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Sowbarnika Sahir, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and is set for release on August 15.
In a recent interview with a Kannada media outlet, Lokesh mentioned that he has exclusively focused on the film during the last two years. He revealed, “I didn’t spend any time with my family or friends, nor on social media. In my entire 36-37 years of life, the amount of effort I’ve put into ‘Coolie’ is enormous.”
Reports suggest that the international distribution rights of “Coolie” have been acquired by Hamsini Entertainment for ?86 crores.
