Shriya teams up with ‘Marma Yogi’

The latest addition to the cast of Kamal Haasan’s 100-Crore film ‘Marma Yogi’ is actress Shriya Saran. As reported earlier, Trisha will also feature in the film, probably as the heroine. It can be recalled that rumors were making the rounds about a month ago that Shriya had been roped into the project but then the actress announced that she had received no communication from the makers of the film.

Latest developments however suggest that Shriya has indeed been approached recently and that she is delighted to be part of the project. One of the first ladies to sign on the dotted line for ‘Marma Yogi’ is yesteryear Hindi actress Hemamalini.

‘Marma Yogi’ is produced by Pyramid Saimira and Rajkamal Films International and will be directed by Kamal Haasan. The film is expected to be shot lavishly in many locations including Sweden. A. R. Rahman will be composing music and the ace musician had declared a few days earlier that he would be doing a lot of research especially because it is a period film.

After Kamal Haasan tasted commercial success with ‘Dasavatharam’ despite the film being a huge budget affair, industry sources are of the opinion that the master filmmaker would have no hesitation whatsoever in making ‘Marma Yogi’ a lavish spectacle.
