Famous American doctor Ian Lipkin was the consultant for 'Contagion' and he agreed to it after much persuasion that the film would be accurate scientifically and would educate as much as entertain. Dr. Lipkin in a video shared by Lou Dobbs has stated that he has contracted the COVID 19 and urges that the best way to contain the deadly virus is only by self isolation, social distancing and hygiene at least for the next few months.
Dr. Lipkin had been in Beijing during the 2003 SAARS outbreak consulting for the World Health Organization and the Chinese Health Ministry and contracted the disease then too and went into isolation after returning to the US. Such an expert in the field has given the important warning that if isolation is not practiced the coronavirus impact will be unimaginable. His warning message is clear "If I who has researched so much about the virus can get infected then imagine how vulnerable the world citizens are".
