The 70th National Film Awards, recognizing the best of Indian cinema produced in 2022, were announced in New Delhi on Friday. The ceremony, celebrating the diverse tapestry of Indian filmmaking, will be held at a later date.

Aattam emerged as the Best Feature Film, showcasing the strength of Malayalam cinema. Rishab Shetty, lauded for his powerful performance in Kantara, clinched the Best Actor award. The Best Actress honor was shared by Nithya Menen for Tiruchitrabalam and Manasi Parekh for Kutch Express.

KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara bagged multiple awards, solidifying their impact on the Indian cinematic landscape.

Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 dominated with four awards, showcasing its technical prowess and captivating storytelling.

Uunchai earned accolades for its heartwarming narrative, with Sooraj Barjatya winning Best Director and Neena Gupta securing Best Supporting Actress.

Fouja made its mark with Best Debut and Pawan Malhotra winning Best Supporting Actor.

Brahmastra won the Best Film in AVGC and Arijit Singh bagged the Best Male Playback Singer award.
