Chiyaan Vikram teamed up with Isai Puyal AR Rahman and director Ajay Gnanamuthu for his upcoming film 'Cobra' which is scheduled to release in theaters on August 11. The 'Anniyan' actor portrays Madhi, a conman and mathematician in this psychological action thriller.

While the promotional works for the film had been going on in full swing, the buzz is that the theatrical release of Cobra might get postponed. Sources say that the film is now pushed to be released on August 31, 2022. An official confirmation is yet to be announced. Lalith Kumar's 7 Screen Studio has produced the movie.

Srinidhi Shetty of 'KGF' fame and Mirnalini Ravi are the leading ladies. Cobra marks the acting debut of cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is playing the antagonist along with Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew. It also stars K.S. Ravikumar, Anandraj, Robo Shankar, Mia George, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindrajan, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya, Kaniha and others.
