Mehreen Pirzada got engaged to Haryana Congress leader Bhavya Bishnoi in March this year. Their wedding was postponed due to the second wave of the pandemic. In an official statement on Saturday evening, the 'F2' and 'Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gaadha' actress said that she and her fiance have decided to call off the wedding. They have parted ways.

"We have decided to break off our engagement," the 'Mahanubhavudu' actress began saying. She added that the decision has been taken amicably and in the best interest of everyone concerned.

She respectfully said that she would have no further association with Bhavya, his family members or friends.

The actress, who is currently doing 'F3', urged everyone to respect her privacy. Declaring that she wouldn't be speaking up on the matter anymore, Mehreen described it as a private matter. She then wrote that she is looking forward to working in movies. "I will be giving my best in the future projects," she added.

Mehreen is doing a small film opposite Santosh Shoban for an OTT platform. She recently denied rumours that she would be romancing Nandamuri Balakrishna in a movie.
