The overseas theatrical rights of Mahesh Babu's family entertainer have been sold for an astronomical amount. Yesterday, it was reported that Classic Entertainments would be buying the same. The deal has been clinched and the amount is Rs. 13 cr.

This is the highest in the history of Telugu cinema. Even Rajamouli's magnum opus was sold for Rs. 9 cr and Pawan Kalyan's SardaarGabbarSingh for Rs. 10.50 cr.

The reason for this sort of business is that Srimanthudu was a run-away hit overseas, collecting $2.8 million in US. The film is slated for a mid-May release. It's directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by PVP Cinema.
