In the teaser of 'Adipurush', Lord Hanuman has apparently been shown wearing clothes made of leather. This hasn't gone down well with a BJP Minister.
Narottam Mishra, the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, today said that the makers of the Prabhas-starrer should make suitable changes. Otherwise, Mishra is going to initiate legal proceedings against director Om Raut, who is also one of the producers of the mythological epic movie.
"There are objectional scenes in the teaser. Lord Hanuman is shown wearing clothes of leather. Such scenes hurt religious sentiments," Mishra has been quoted as saying. The teaser also shows Ravana, played by Saif Ali Khan, as some sort of a devouring Mughal invader. The Minister's threat makes no difference, for the claim that the content is offensive can't be sustained in court.
In the past, Mishra criticized Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor as well.
Meanwhile, 'Adipurush' is slated to hit the screens on January 12 next year.
