With several people on social media pointing out that the likes of Rajamouli and Vijay Devarakonda have not contributed donations in the fight of the government against COVID-19, director Deva Katta has said that many souls have done their philanthropy secretly.
“I personally know a few beautiful hearts within the industry who have contributed significantly toward COVID-19 and many other causes but purposefully didn’t want to publicise. They see it as a personal/spiritual act. Those who announce have a point; it motivates others and creates a positive chain reaction. It’s utterly insensitive to pre-empt the silent contributors with stupid assumptions. It’s our responsibility to understand their perspctive. Charity is not a rowdy mamool under social pressure!” the director of ‘Prasthanam’ tweeted out.
The filmmaker is scheduled to make a film with Nithiin later this year.
