'AWE', the genre-bending film that released last year, has won two National Awards - in the categories of Make-up and Special Effects.  Its debutant director Prasanth Varma is a happy man grateful to his team.  

"I congratulate Ranjith garu on the award.  Costume Designer and stylish Shanti, Aditi, and Sanjana put in a lot of effort to give their best. Srishti Studios did the special effects and we had to work hard to make the visuals as realistic as possible.  I thank all the technicians who made the high quality possible," he says.  

The director also has special praise for Natural Star Nani, the film's producer.  "I have to thank producer Nani garu for supporting a movie like this.  He never made the movie for money.  He wanted to do something different," he adds.  

"I thank my sister and brothers for standing by my side," the youngster, who recently made 'Kalki', says.

Earlier, Nani said that the team at Wall Poster Cinema is very proud.  "Two National Awards for our debut production. what more can we ask. Thank u to all our cast and crew. Thank u jury and congratulations to all the award winners," he tweeted out.
