Indiaglitz had broken to you several days ago that Australian cricket star Glenn Maxwell is all set to tie the knot with his long time Tamil girlfriend on 27th February 2022. The wedding invitation, printed in Tamil traditional style, has surprised netizens and gone viral on the internet.
Now, the powerful Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman has revealed that he will increase the security at his wedding after the invitation to his week-long marriage ceremony was leaked on social media platforms. Maxwell's lover Vini Raman roots from Chennai and was brought up in Australia and their wedding is said to happen in both Hindu and Christian styles.
The marriage, which was set to be a private event consisting of just 350 of his closest friends and family, has now become the talk of the town. Maxi stated that the invitation was leaked out of excitement and they will increase security. In an interaction with www.cricket.com.au, the veteran all-rounder said, "It was not ideal. We've got to get extra security for the wedding now. It was supposed to be a private event and unfortunately the relatives over in India just got a little bit excited and decide to show a few friends. Next minute, it's in pretty much every paper over there and I'm getting tweeted it by pretty much everyone. So that was a shock. It's been a busy couple of days."
Maxwell got to know about the whole scenario after a former IPL teammate alerted Maxwell about the invitation being shared online. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old cricketer was retained by the RCB team for a whopping Rs 11 crores ahead of IPL 2022. It is also being reported that Glenn is likely to miss the initial games of this season for his wedding.
