Ashok Selvan is a versatile young actor in Tamil cinema, who constantly works to put worthy films on the table. His latest release 'Manmatha Leelai', directed by Venkat Prabhu, is getting a highly positive response from the audience and critics. Now, he has revealed that he shot for the film when he had a COVID infection.
'Manmatha Leelai' is an adult comedy film starring Ashok Selvan, Samyuktha Hegde, Riya Suman and Smruthi Venkat. The movie had a few liplock scenes in the story. Ashok Selvan, when talking about 'Manmatha Leelai' in a recent interview, reportedly said that he was tested positive for COVID-19 when he shot for this film but luckily it did not transmit to anybody else.
The handsome actor added that he shot an intimate kissing scene with Samyuktha Hegde. After shooting that scene, he had a mild temperature and was then tested positive for COVID. Ashok Selvan continued that he immediately informed Samyuktha Hegde, however, the actress tested negative later. He also revealed that he has been a fan of Venkat Prabhu and immediately accepted when Venkat approached him for this experimental film.
On the work front, Venkat Prabhu is said to be doing a direct Telugu project soon and the director is also expected to helm the Hindi remake of 'Maanadu'. Ashok Selvan's 'Hostel' is awaiting release and he is currently acting in the bilingual project 'Nitham Oru Vaanam' alias 'Aakasham'.
