The talented Tamil actor Arun Vijay is all set to debut in the OTT arena with the Sony Liv web series 'Tamilrockerz', a cyber-thriller. Director Arivazhagan, of Eeram, Vallinam and Kuttram 23 fame, has helmed the show while Kollywood's renowned banner AVM Productions is making a comeback in production with their maiden web series.

Recently, Arun Vijay took to Twitter to unleash the Tamilrockerz trailer writing, “The captivating trailer of #TamilRockerz is here!! Get ready to travel with #Rudhra and watch him unravel the mysterious dark web of deceit and lies…” (sic). The series revolves around the real incidents of the cinema industry's suffering losses owing to the digital piracy mafia.

Tamilrockerz was one of India's biggest internet pirated sites and it hailed from Tamil Nadu. Arun Vijay plays Rudra, a cop who is set out to uncover the mask of these cyber pirates accompanied by Vani Bhojan and Ishwarya Menon as the female leads. The show also stars Azhagam Perumal, Vinodhini, G.Marimuthu, Tharun Kumar, Vinod Sagar, Sharath Ravi, Kaakamuttai Ramesh, Kakkamuttai Vignesh & Ajit Joshy.

Tamilrockerz is slated to start streaming on SonyLIV from August 19, 2022. Vikas Badisa scored the music for the show while B Rajasekar handled the cinematography and VJ Sabu Joseph did the editing. Arun Vijay also has projects like Borrderr, Agni Siragugal and Sinam among others in his pipeline.
