We already updated you that the shooting of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Slevan' was wrapped up a couple of months ago and the post-production works are currently underway. The latest is that AR Rahman and his team are busy with the re-recording of the epic historical fiction movie.

Drums Sivamani, a famous percussionist in Indian cinema, took to his social media handle today to share a video from the music scoring session of Ponniyin Selvan 1. In the video, he said that he is working with his brothers in Isai Puyal's AM Studios in Chennai for the PS1 background scores.

The video went viral among the fans and what caught the attention of the netizens is a picture of Karthi in the Vadhiyathevan getup. He was holding a skull in his hand and the certain screen grab is spreading like a wildfire on social media. Also, a picture of Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman sitting on an elephant has been leaked online.

'Ponniyin Selvan 1' is all set to hit the screens on September 30. The film boasts an ensemble cast comprising Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Rahman, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobitha Dulipala, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin and the others.
