Soon after the BJP won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections recently, director and actor Anurag Kashyap posted a tweet congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his victory, wherein he attached a picture containing a comment from a troll (who is also a BJP supporter) who had threatened to rape the actor’s daughter.
The picture posted by Anurag Kashyap was a comment made by “chowkidar_ramsanghi_” on an Instagram post of his daughter. The man had threatened to rape her in case Anurag failed to stop criticizing PM Modi. Anurag Kashyap’s deleted Twitter post read, “Dear @narendramodi sir. Congratulations on your victory and thank you for the message of inclusiveness. Sir please also tell us how do we deal with these followers of yours who celebrate your victory by threatening my daughter with messages like this for me being your dissenter.”
The actor posted another tweet a few hours ago thanking the Mumbai police for helping him file an FIR against the troll. He also thanked Maharashtra’s CM Devendra Fadnavis and PM Modi, stating that he felt more secure as a father following the action.
