Annapurna Studios to release Karthi’s ‘Sardar’ in Telugu

Karthi’s ‘Sardar’ is gearing up for a theatrical release in both Telugu and Tamil. Directed by PS Mithran of ‘Abhimanyudu’ fame, the film is all set to be released in Telugu by Annapurna Studios in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

On Monday, Akkineni Nagarjuna’s production house made the announcement, suggesting that ‘Sardar’ is strong in content and commercial elements. That’s why the choosy production house wants to bring this high-quality film to the Telugu audience. “Chaos will be on with his arrival,” Annapurna Studios tweeted, sharing a video clip in which Karthi is seen as a powerful cop.

“‘Sardar’ has got an intriguing plotline,” the makers said.

Starring Raashi Khanna as the heroine, the film has Rajisha Vijayan (who is playing a role opposite Ravi Teja in ‘Ramarao On Duty’) in a key role. Chunky Panday of ‘Saaho’ fame has a role.

With music and cinematography by GV Prakash Kumar and George C Williams, respectively, ‘Sardar’ is currently in the making. Dileep Subbarayan and Reuben are taking care of stunts and editing, respectively.

To be released for Diwali this year, the film has Laila, Munishkanth, Ashwin, Yog Japi, Nimmy, Balaji Sakthivel and Elavarasu in other roles.
