The past few months have been a rollercoaster ride for Superstar Rajinikanth whose political entry was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic and the same reason caused two postponements of his upcoming biggie 'Annaathe'. One was when the long shooting schedule was halted due to the nationwide lockdown from April 2020 and the second instance was in December when the shooting was cancelled in Hyderabad after crew members testing positive.

Now all is well at the 'Annaathe' end and today the shooting has reportedly resumed at the Gokulam Studios in Chennai. Superstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara are participating and will be involved in a few emotional scenes as well as action sequences according to sources.

'Annaathe' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Siruthai Siva with music by D. Imman boasts of an ensemble cast comprising of Rajinikanth, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena, Jackie Shroff, Soori, Prakash Raj and Jagapathy Babu. The release has already been officially announced as November 4th.
