Kate Tomas, Andrew Garfield's girlfriend and self-described "professional witch" with a seduction course, has refuted claims that she used magic to enthrall the actor. Tomas revealed on her podcast, *The Friday Emails', that she first deleted her class from sale because of "horrific accusations" of magical enchantment of the * Amazing Spider-Man* actor.
Tomas made clear in a recent interview with *The Times* that seduction is not about magic or trickery. "It's not about ideal teeth or conventional beauty standards," she said. "True attractiveness comes from being authentically self and confidently anchored in that."
Tomas, 42, stressed that magic takes time and does not happen overnight. She also denounced the "misogynistic" responses to her connection with 40-year-old Garfield, expressing annoyance at women's accomplishments sometimes subordinated to their romantic life. "I want not to live in someone's shadow," she said.
Having gone through four divorces, Tomas said public criticism of her appearance has been taxing. "Nothing could ready me for thousands of women telling me I'm ugly and unattractive," she said.
Originally seen holding hands on a double date with musician Phoebe Bridgers and comedian Bo Burnham in Malibu, Tomas and Garfield were originally linked romantically in March. The pair showed love during their trip to Zinqué restaurant.
Although a source told Us Weekly, the relationship was "fairly new," Garfield valued Tomas's uniqueness from other relationships. "She seems to have a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to," the insider said.
Among the past relationships of Garfield are actress Emma Stone, singer Rita Ora, and model Alyssa Miller.
