Amitabh Bachchan calls Kamal Haasan the greatest and asks him to stop being humble

The first glimpse teaser of the sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898’ previously known as ‘Project K’ was released amidst much fanfare at the prestigous Comic Con event held at San Diego Convention Center in the US.  is out. The film is based on the events that happen in the year 2898 on Earth and mixes Indian mythological and scifi elements.

The Rs.600 crore project is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies with actor Prabhas and Deepika Padukone playing the lead roles.  Very recently it was announced that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is playing the chief antagonist while Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Pasupathi and others were already a part of it with Santhosh Narayanan scoring the music.

At the glimpse teaser release event Kamal stated “We make stories, they (audience) make stars. You really understand it when you see Amit ji perform, Prabhas perform.. (and so on)”

Amitabh Bachchan who was present via video conferencing interrupted him amidst loud cheering from the crowd “Stop being modest Kamal, You’re much much greater than all of us”.  The mutual love and respect between the two stalwarts raised goosebumps to fans who shared the same on social media.

The Ulaganayagan also made it clear why he chose to do the chief antagonist role in ‘Kalki 2898’ saying “The reason I accepted this film is because I come from analogous cinema. Without a negative, there’s no positive. So, a negative role is an important role in a film.”
