Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is a part of the much-awaited monumental film, 'Kalki 2898AD', starring Rebel Star Prabhas. The team unveiled the character promo of Big B yesterday. He will be playing a character from the Mahabharata period in this upcoming biggie.
'Kalki 2898AD', directed by Nag Ashwin, is a dystopian sci-film laced with Indian mythology. The creator has already confirmed that this movie revolves around the Kalki avatar of Vishnu with the story starting from the Mahabharata period. Now, the makers have introduced Amitabh Bachchan as the immortal 'Ashwatthama', the son of Guru Drona from Mahabharata.
The new promo shows a boy named Raia conversing with Ashwatthama (Big B) who is old and meditating. Fans get to witness the younger version of Amitabh in this 70-second video as it features a de-aged shot of him. Santhosh Narayanan's background score was epic and Djordje Stojiljkovic's visuals were scintillating. This is now rocking the internet.
This movie, a production of Vyjayanthi Movies, was announced to hit the screens in May earlier but the release is postponed as of now. The star cast of 'Kalki 2898AD' comprises Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Pasupathy and many others. This is said to be the most expensive Indian film ever made.
