Director Harish Shankar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan. The highly anticipated movie is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on March 19.
When the film’s pre-look poster was unveiled earlier, featuring a striking back-shot silhouette, many fans initially assumed that the figure in the poster was Harish Shankar himself rather than Pawan Kalyan. The speculation continued even after the teaser release, with a section of the audience believing that the director might have acted as a body double for the star in certain back shots.
Addressing these rumours in a recent interview, Harish Shankar firmly clarified that he never appeared as a body double for Pawan Kalyan in the film. The director, however, said he actually felt amused and happy seeing such comments, as people felt he resembled the star actor.

Harish further explained that the use of body doubles is a common and practical practice in the film industry. He noted that if a leading actor suffers an injury during shooting, it can disrupt schedules and cause financial losses worth crores. Because of these risks, filmmakers often rely on body doubles for certain shots to ensure the safety of their heroes and keep production running smoothly.
With strong expectations surrounding the project, fans are eagerly waiting to see Pawan Kalyan return to the big screen with Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
