Director AL Vijay had two releases this year, with his movies Watchman starring GV Prakash and Devi 2 starring Tamannaah and Prabhudeva getting released. The director is currently on a break, and is all set to get married with doctor Aishwarya this month.

Following his marriage, the director is all set to start his next big movie Thalaivi, which is the biopic of former Chief minister of Tamil Nadu and popular actress Jayalalithaa. This movie will have Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut playing the lead role, and she has started training for the same.

It has been revealed that the movie's shooting is all set to begin in October first week, and the team will start with the shooting of sequences featuring young Jayalalitha, and will be shot in Mysore. Thalaivi is produced by Vibri Media and has screenplay by Vijayendra Prasad.
