Ajith Kumar's latest movie 'Thunivu' has turned out to be one of his career best films and is continuing its dream run overcoming the strong competition from Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu'. The mass hero's next movie 'AK 62' should have gone on floors by now but there is high drama at that end right now.

'AK 62' was announced several months back with Vignesh Shivan as director, Anirudh as music director and Lyca Productions bankrolling. With hardly days to go before the start of the shoot rumours started that Ajith and Lyca were not impressed with the script that Vignesh Shivan came up with after eight months of pre-production. The hit films director has since indirectly distanced himself from the project by altering his social media bio as well as deleting the film announcement tweet.

Meanwhile it has been reported that director Magizh Thirumeni of 'Thadam' fame is the hot favorite to helm 'AK 62' and has been signed on for a huge remuneration. Now there are unconfirmed reports that director P.S. Mithran of 'Sardar' fame has written the script for the film.

Sources close to Lyca maintain that all the confirmations regarding 'AK 62' will be announced pretty soon. We will have to wait for a little more time to check what surprised this mega project has in store.
