While fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by H. Vinoth, on August 8 across the world, the premiere show of the film started at 9 am IST in Singapore and positive reviews are pouring in from the audience who have watched the premiere.

One of the interesting facts that has been observed is Ajith's name in Nerkonda Paarvai. His character has been named Bharath Subramanian, inspired by India's renowned poet and social reformer Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi aka Bharathiyar. The phenomenal writer is considered one of the greatest Tamil literary figures of all time.

Produced by Boney Kapoor and co-produced by Zee Studios, Nerkonda Paarvai marks the maiden productional venture of Boney Kapoor in Tamil. The film also stars Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, and Andrea Tariang, and has Vidya Balan, Adhik Ravichandran and Rangaraj Pandey playing pivotal roles. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
