Is this the new release date of Ajith Kumar’s Valimai? – Hot buzz

The government imposed strict restrictions and curfews on all sectors including the cinema halls owing to the massive spike in the COVID-19 and Omicron cases. The lockdown to control the third wave of the pandemic resulted in the indefinite postponement of many big-scale massive budget films slated for theatrical release in January.

Now, multiple state governments are slowly relaxing the restrictions as there is a drop in the rate of multiply in the virus infection. With the night curfews and Sunday lockdowns lifted, the makers of the delayed biggies are planning to launch their movies in theatres in the first place. The latest is that Ajith Kumar’s Valimai has got a new tentative release date.

The movie team is planning to release the film in theatres worldwide on February 24th with the occupancy allowed by the government. The talks are going for a smooth release and the date is yet to be finalised. They will make an official release announcement once the date is locked in a few days. Valimai is slated to open in multiple languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Valimai has Ajith Kumar playing a righteous cop and a fiery rider while the Tollywood actor Kartikeya plays the antagonist. The action thriller, bankrolled by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios, also stars Huma Qureshi, VJ Bani, Raj Ayyappa, Yogi Babu, GM Sundar, Achyuth Kumar, Chaithra Reddy and Pugazh. It was originally scheduled to release on Pongal 2022.
