Actress Trisha Krishnan has had a steady career as a leading lady for the better part of two decades and she shows no signs of slowing down. She is currently playing the pivotal role of Kundhavai in Mani Ratnam's epic multistarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' that has Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the principal cast members.
During the past few weeks rumours started spreading that Trisha is all set to join a political party and enter public life as a politician. Some reports even claimed that Thalapathy Vijay a good friend of the actress encouraged her to take the plunge.
Trisha's mother Uma Krishnan has reportedly refuted the rumours about her daughter entering politics. She has stated that Trish is busy with her acting career and is in the process of signing many more films in all Indian languages shortly. She put an end to the speculation by emphasizing that the evergreen actress will not be switching careers anytime soon.
Meanwhile there is a strong buzz that Trisha has been approached to play Thalapathy Vijay's pair in the upcoming biggie 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The project is in preproduction right now and is expected to go on floors later this year or early next year.
