Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's daughter and actress Shruti Haasan has been an open advocate of mental health apart from several health issues that affect women in particular. However misinterpretting her statements and her absence from some of the promotional events of her new movies speculations arose that she was suffering from mental issues.
Shruti has slammed the media reports on Twitter sharing the screenshots of the insensitive writing. She wrote "ok so my flu turned into this?”Ok. So here’s the thing. Misinformation like this and the over-dramatisation or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health. Guess what? It doesn’t work. I will always be a mental health advocate. I will always promote taking care of myself in all aspects. Oh and I had a VIRAL FEVER. So nice try. Get over yourselves and while you’re at it please talk to a therapist. No really. Please do.”
After some time, Shruti posted a photo on Instagram, in which she is seen resting on a bed. 'Thank you all for your love and I am sorry that I could not attend the grand launch. Right now I'm focusing on getting better as soon as possible", she wrote.
Shruti's upcoming biggies are 'Salaar' directed by Prashanth Neel and costarring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran and the Hollywood movie 'The Eye' directed by Daphne Schmon. She has had two of her films 'Veera Simha Reddy' and Walter Veeraiya' starring NBK and Chiranjeevi respectively released for Sankranti 2023.
Nice try !! And Thankyou I’m recovering well from my viral fever pic.twitter.com/oxTYevcK1D
