Famous Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey caused a stir in 2011 when she announced that if the Indian cricket team won the World Cup, she would run naked on the field. She capitalized on the media limelight she got by posting semi-nude photos and videos on her social media page.

The sensation gained her her Bollywood debut 'Nasha' in 2013 and has appeared has herself in most of her subsequent films for item dances. Poonam married her longtime boyfriend Sam Bombay last year. Poonam had lodged a complaint with the Goa police alleging that her husband had assaulted her within days of the marriage. Police arrested Sam Bombay. The couple later reconciled.
