Actress Pooja Batra made her film debut in Thala Ajith's super hit movie 'Aasai' produced by Mani Ratnam and also costarred with him in 'Kandukondein Kandukondein' apart from playing the lead opposite Sarathkumar in 'Oruvan'. She married US based Dr. Sonu S. Ahluwalia in 2002 and settled in California but divorced in 2011.

On July 4th 2019 Pooja married popular Bollywood villain actor Nawab Shah and the couple are now happily settled. Pooja posted pics of her hubby proposing to her and has captioned them "Last year today my hubby proposed to me in the presence of his Mom and his Family. May your blessings and love always be with us Moore We Miss you"

Nawab Shah is also not new for Tamil cinema as he has acted as the baddie opposite Vijayakanth in 'Gajendra', Sivakarthikeyan in 'Seemaraja' and Superstar Rajinikanth in 'Darbar'. Well that's a super strong Kollywood connection to the couple and here is sending our heartiest wishes to them too.
