Young Bengali actress Pallavi Dey was also found hanging from her bedroom ceiling fan at her flat in Garfa, Kolkata on Sunday. The actress is known for TV soaps like 'Resham Jhanpi', 'Ami Sirajer Begum' and 'Mon Mane Na'. The Bengali TV fraternity is in a state of deep shock over her demise.

As per national media reports, Pallavi Dey was dating Shagnik Chakraborty with whom she had been in a live-in relationship. Shagnik's mother has been quoted as saying by Indian Express that, as parents, she and her husband were unhappy with the concept of live-in but gave their son the freedom to make his own choices.

Police are investigating the reason why the young starlet took the extreme decision or whether there is any foul play involved.

ANI has quoted the police as saying, "The body was sent to MR Bangur Hospital for legal procedures. No suicide note was recovered from the place of occurrence and no external mark of injury was found on the body."

While police are suspecting a case of suicide, they are not ruling out foul play. It is because Pallavi's family members are saying that they are suspecting a murder.
