Veteran actress Namitha debuted in Tamil cinema opposite Vijayakanth in 'Engall Anna' during the early 2000s. She has since starred in several films opposite top heroes of the time such as Ajith Kumar, Thalapathy Vijay, Srikanth and Sathyaraj. After a hiatus she returned to the limelight on 'Bigg Boss Tamil 1' hosted by Kamal Haasan in 2017.

In the same year, Namitha got married to actor/businessman Virendra Chaudhary and the couple's twin sons were born in 2022. The family visited a temple in Allepey, Kerala to celebrated the first birthday of the lil boys.

Sharing pics from the temple Namitha penned the emotional note "From good morning to good night, you are the reason our lives are light and bright. Here's a birthday wish with a gift and hug so tight. And just like that my Krishna Adhithya and Kian Raaj are 1 !!! Since the day you both were born, You have only added Magic and Miracles to our lives! Happiest Birthday to My Twins ,My Heart n Heartbeat ! I Love You Krishna Adhithya and Kian Raaj ."
