A popular Tamil actress revealing that she was pregnant when acting in a new movie has caused a sensation in Kollywood. She gave the info during her speech at the audio launch of the upcoming movie 'Yugi' releasing on November 18th,

Actress Anandi made her acting debut in the Telugu film industry with the movie "Ee Rojulu" released in 2012. She then made her debut in Tamil cinema in the year 2014 with the film "Poriyalan" starring Harish Kalyan in the lead. However it was through her second film 'Kayal' directed by Prabhu Solomon that she found fame and came to be known as Kayal Anandhi.

Anandhi went on to act in several hit films including 'Trisha Ilana Nayantara' 'Pandigai', 'Pariyerum Perumal' 'Irandam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu' and 'Kamali From Nadukkaveri'.

Anandhi fell in love with Socrates the brother in law and associate director of director 'Moodar Kodam' Naveen during the making of 'Alauddinin Arputha Camera'. The couple got married in January 2021 and they became parents to a son Plato later that year.

Anandhi is continuing her acting career and her latest is 'Yugi' directed by Zack Harris and costarring Kathir, Natty Natarajan, Narain and Muniskanth. Speaking at the trailer luanch of the film she revealed that the film is special to her as she was pregnant while shooting and down the years she will remember it fondly,
