The world in the grips of COVID 19 is continuing to be in a grim situation as many livelihoods have been lost. Especially the most affected is the entertainment industry which is hampered by social distancing and also lack of audience.
To create awareness of the situation French actress Corinne Masiero who was one of the presenters at the prestigious Ceaser Awards came wearing a dress of donkey skin stained with blood. After presenting one of the awards she stripped naked with the words "no culture no future" and "give us our art back, Jean".
Corinne Masiero was calling on the attention of French Prime Minister Jean Castex who ordered the closure of cinemas and theaters from October 30th and decided not to reopen in the near future.
Several actors and technicians in both cinema and theater have been affected for the past several months and have been protesting and urging to reopen public places with proper social distancing protocols. The actress's gesture has been widely appreciated from the art fraternity in France.
