Siddharth an assistant director of Mani Ratnam made his acting debut with Shankar's 'Boy', He rose to prominence as the lead actor in both Telugu and Tamil cinema and is also known for his bold takes on social issues.

On the personal front Siddharth married his childhood sweetheart Meghana in 2003 but got separated in 2006 and the divorce was finalised in 2007. There were also rumours that he had romantic relationships with a few actresses including Shruti Haasan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Recently it was reported that the 43 year old Siddharth is in a relationship with actress Aditi Rao Hydari whom he met during the making of their Telugu film 'Mahasamudram'. Both participated in festivities and public events as a couple. Photographs of them holding hands close together on the streets of Mumbai also went viral. When the media reported the speculations on their alleged love they did not respond. A video also went viral in which the actor is seen warning papparazis from clicking their pics.

Meanwhile on the occassion of the 36th birthday of Aditi, Siddharth posted a photo with her wrote " Happy Happy Happy Birthday Princess of Heart @aditiraohydari I pray all your dreams The big ones, the small ones And the ones yet unseen Always come true, always for you. Have the best trip around the sun yet. P.S- growing up is for squares. Don't!".

Aditi Rao is said said to have met Hindi actor Satyadeep Mishra when she was 17 years old and reportedly married him when she was 21. However the couple separated in 2013 but have remained close friends.

In Tamil Aditi has acted in several films including Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam', Mysskin's 'Psycho', and Brinda Gopal's 'Hey Sinamika'. She is currently acting in Vijay Sethupathi's silent film 'Gandhi Talks' directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar in whic Arvind Swamhy is also playing a pivotal role. Siddharth is currently starring alongside Kamal Haasan in 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar.
