City of Gold: Vikram Prabhu’s Intense First Look and Glimpse Create Buzz

Vikram Prabhu is set to appear in a striking new avatar with City of Gold, his 26th film. Directed by debutant filmmaker Siddharth, the film features Shivathmika Rajashekar as the female lead, while Raahul of Romeo Pictures and internet sensation Amala Shaji play important roles.

Produced by Raahul under the Romeo Pictures banner, City of Gold has already started generating curiosity with the release of its First Look and Glimpse. Both promotional assets have received an encouraging response from audiences.

The First Look presents Vikram Prabhu seated with an intense expression as he casually tosses and catches gold bars. The striking image immediately establishes the film’s mysterious world while highlighting the immense value and fascination surrounding gold.

The Glimpse offers a deeper look into the film’s intriguing backdrop. It takes viewers into the world of the gold trade, introducing the people involved in the business and a hidden ecosystem that remains largely unfamiliar to the outside world. The visuals introduce several characters and situations while deliberately leaving many questions unanswered.

Vikram Prabhu appears in an intense and commanding role, with his screen presence standing out in the promotional material. The supporting cast includes Alagam Perumal, Jaffer Idukki, GM Sundar, Vasundhara, Sunil Sugatha, Jayakumar, Mourish Dass, Bala Hasan, Lizzy Antony and others.

Cinematographer Karthik Sharaj captures the film’s dark and mysterious world with striking visuals. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and background score add further depth to the atmosphere, enhancing the tension and mystery surrounding the story.

City of Gold has been extensively shot across Coimbatore, Chennai and Kerala, with the final schedule currently underway. The makers are expected to begin post-production work shortly after completing the remaining shoot.
