RIP! Veteran Tamil actor Chakravarthy passed away

Actor Chakravarthy who played lead characters, villain and supporting roles in several Tamil films during the eighties passed away suddenly. The 62 year old who quit films in the 90s moved to Mumbai and worked as a voice over artist in popular sports channels such as Sony and Star Sports.
It is reported that on April 23rd early morning Chakravarthy's wife Lalitha tried to wake him up and found him unresponsive. He had apparently suffered a heart attack in his sleep. He is survived by his wife and two sons Sasikumar and Ajay Kumar who are working in IT and studying MSc respectively.
Chakravarthy starred as hero opposite Radhika in 'Thai Pongal' in 1980 following which he acted with Sivaji Ganesan in 'Rishi Moolam', with Mohan in 'Udaya Geetham' and also with other leading heroes of the time including Rajini and Kamal. The Nadigar Sangam expressed its condolences to its member along with other film personalities.
