2020 could see many more remakes!

Film industries like Tollywood go by a lot of trends. For example, years ago, 'Prema Katha Chitram' triggered a wave of horror-comedies. Year 2019 has thrown up four special hits among remakes. This is reason enough to believe that 2020 is going to see a lot of remakes.

'Oh Baby' (remake of a Korean movie named 'Miss Granny'), 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' (remake of the Tamil movie 'Jigarthanda'), 'Evaru' (remake of a Spanish thriller titled 'The Invisible Guest'), and 'Rakshasudu' (remake of 'Ratsasan' in Tamil) succeeded at the box-office in different degrees.

The one remake of a Malayalam movie to do partly well is Vishwak Sen's 'Falaknuma Das'. It worked in Nizam territory.

Already, production houses like Suresh Productions are keen on remakes. Others might also join the bandwagon.
