’12A Railway Colony’ Will Thrill Audiences With Its Unique Screenplay: Allari Naresh

Actor Allari Naresh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming suspense thriller “12A Railway Colony,” set to hit theatres on November 21. The film has already generated solid buzz through its intriguing promotional content.

Directed by Nani Kesaragadda, the film is produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under the Srinivasa Silver Screen banner. Popular filmmaker Dr. Anil Vishwanath serves as the showrunner and has penned the story, screenplay, and dialogues. Kamakshi Bhaskarla plays the female lead.

Speaking at a press meet, Naresh shared his excitement and confidence about the film.

“The screenplay will stand out” – Allari Naresh

Naresh revealed that the film’s unique narrative structure is its biggest strength.

“The screenplay of 12A Railway Colony is extraordinary. The mind-game element is very new. Several parallel stories unfold simultaneously, and everything connects beautifully in the end. Audiences will definitely be thrilled,” he said.

The actor added that the film is inspired by a real incident that took place in Hyderabad and is presented with a strong paranormal tint.

On choosing the title and characters

The story unfolds entirely inside a house numbered 12A in a railway colony.

“We fixed the ‘12A’ part early on. Adding ‘Railway Colony’ makes it relatable, as the entire story is rooted in that backdrop,” Naresh explained.

Naresh plays Karthik, an aide to a local MLA whose carefree life takes a dramatic turn after a shocking incident.

Working with Kamakshi and preparing for Telangana accent

Calling Kamakshi a talented, multi-skilled actress, Naresh said she fit the “middle-class, girl-next-door” role perfectly.

The actor also revealed that he put in extra effort to master the Telangana dialect for the first time.

“I usually finish dubbing in a day, but this film took four days. I wanted every line to sound authentic,” he added.

Future plans and upcoming films

Naresh expressed interest in exploring horror and even a silent comedy film someday. He confirmed that two upcoming projects will mark his return to comedy.

As for releases:

Alcohol is scheduled for January.

Two new comedy films—one under Haasya and one under Annapurna Studios—are set to begin soon.
