The bodies of a couple, Monisha (19) and  Hemanth Kumar (22), were found on the railway tracks near Kuppam railway station on Wednesday. They were found at 2 am by the RPF officials, with their heads decapitated. The couple was allegedly in love with each other and seemed to have eloped on Tuesday afternoon. “Monisha left from her college on Tuesday afternoon and she was joined by Hemanth Kumar later. Their bodies were discovered on the track around 2 am on Wednesday. We don’t have any other details as of now, the investigation is going on. The parents of the couple are yet to arrive to take the bodies,” an RPF police officer reported.

The couple hailed from Ettikulam Village in Tiruvallur district of TN. Since they both belonged to the Mudaliar community, a suicide is being speculated by the police officials. However, a probable murder is also suspected. An FIR has been filed, and further details will be disclosed soon.
